How Do I Meet People?

Community Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Community Baptist Church.

Sunday School

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic. For that reason, Community Baptist Church has small bible studies held during Sunday School for all age ranges. Our classes consist of Pre-School and Kindergarten, 1st – 3rd, 4th & 5th, Middle and High, College and Career (high school graduates – age 29), Young Adults (ages 30-54), and Senior Adults (ages 55 and up). The Sunday School classes meet at 10:00 before Morning Worship Service.

Children

There are two important aspects of our Children’s Ministry here at Community, our Children’s Church and AWANA program. Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in an exciting enviroment in Children’s Church where they learn about God, engage in God’s word through our puppet ministry, praise God through song, and have fun with crafts and games. Then on Wednesday nights, children get to have a blast learning about God through our AWANA program. Each Wednesday, they receive a snack, have a lesson, play games, and learn verses from the bible. It is exciting to see what God is doing in the Children’s Ministry and we can’t wait to see what He has in store for the future.

Students

AWESOME Student Ministries is our ministry here at Community for middle and High School students. Just like the name says, your student will have an awesome time while learning about God’s love and grace in their lives. Each week, we apply God’s word to situations that every teenager deals. The middle and high school meet together for a joint class during Sunday School and split apart for studies on Wednesday nights.

College and Career

Life can get complicated once you cross into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The college and career group of Community Baptist Church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people. The group meets on Sundays during the Sunday School hour.

Young Adults

Community Baptist Church gives young married couples the opportunity to come together, learn more about God’s word, and apply it to their lives as they begin their journey through marriage and parenting. Each week we take a special approach to the lesson and allow God to speak to each of us in a special way. Have your spirits lifted and your faith strengthened each and every week. Come and join us and let’s see how Gods word can be applied to the improvement of your life.

Senior Adults

Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begin. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the “55-Alive” group of Community provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. Each week the class continues to be very interesting and informative through the devotions and class discussions. We want to see our senior adults dig deeper into God’s Word and have a great time of fellowship and friendship.

Women’s Group

The Community Baptist Women’s Group gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. We desire to encourage women to grow in their faith in Christ, to develop and strengthen intimate friendships with other women, and to provide opportunities to serve and reach our communities for Christ. Our goal is that every woman who comes in contact with the women at Community Baptist Church will have an unforgettable encounter of encouragement as we reflect the power and grace of God.

Men’s Group

The Men’s Group at Community is designed to allow men to grow together in God’s word. At Community Baptist, we want to see our men be spiritual leaders in their home, workplace, and in the community. We strive to grow our men through God’s word and fellowship with one another. We do this through conferences, classes, fellowship and work days, and our Sportsman Ministry.
